My Story

Hi there, Welcome! Wanted to share a little bit more about me here.

I grew up in Mumbai, India, a big city with a fast paced culture. A city that never sleeps and where people are always in a hurry.

When I was little, I was captivated by TV ads, TV shows, movies and story books with beautiful art. With this immense love for creative story telling, I started my career in Advertising. I worked in several big and small agencies and gained a lot of experience.

I then got married and moved to Birmingham, Alabama. It was a culture shock, but I networked hard and built a career in Digital Marketing and Personalization. All this while, I felt a quiet pull toward something more instinctive — a need for creative expression that never fully left me. Art has been part of me for as long as I can remember. As a child I was drawn to it, but the rigid way it was taught in school left little room for exploration or intuition. Somewhere along the way, that spark was set aside.

Last year, everything shifted.

During a visit to MOMA in New York City, I found myself sitting in a large room surrounded by works from extraordinary artists. I was overwhelmed and moved to tears. In that moment, I realized what I had been missing and what I needed to return to as my true calling. I spoke with a museum docent and a cartoonist sketching nearby, both of whom encouraged me to begin again. Their words stayed with me: “It is never too late to make art and who knows, one day your art will be displayed in MOMA!.”

I started by doodling on my iPad using Procreate, experimenting freely and learning from artists around the world. That exploration soon led me to canvas, where painting became a daily ritual, sometimes by day, often by night.

My work is abstract and intuitive, guided by movement, emotion, and inner rhythm. Each piece reflects what I'm feeling in the moment — layered, imperfect, and honest. I find inspiration in the elements — fire, water, earth, space, and the natural forces that move through all of us. All works are original acrylic paintings on canvas, created from my home studio in Atlanta, Georgia.

I continue to learn, evolve, and draw inspiration from the global community of artists who create fearlessly and authentically. I am truly thankful for artists all over the world who explore, create, and remind us all to make it relatable.

Why I paint?

Abstract art, to me, is emotion made visible. It doesn't ask you to identify what you're looking at, it asks you to feel what it means to you. It helps me express my feelings through color, texture, and pattern, in ways that can make you feel moved, calm, and present in the moment.
